Celebrating Our First Month: The Diverse Minds Academy’s Preschool
This week, on the 30th of October, The Diverse Minds Academy reached an exciting milestone—the successful completion of our very first month as a new preschool service! We are truly thrilled to have made it through this formative period, and we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the parents who have placed their trust in us. Your confidence has given us a wonderful opportunity to lay a strong foundation for your children’s early learning journey, and we’re deeply appreciative of the positive feedback we’ve received along the way.
Settling In: Bright Moon and Shining Stars Classes
The children in our two brand-new classrooms – Bright Moon (for toddlers) and Shining Stars (for preschoolers) – have settled in exceptionally well. These past few weeks have been all about building connections, establishing routines, and ensuring that children feel secure and happy in their new learning environment. We’ve been amazed by their adaptability, curiosity, and the joy they bring into the classroom each day.
Our primary aim during this initial month was to support both children and parents through the transition. Starting in a new preschool can be a big step, and we understand how important it is for children to feel at ease and comfortable. This focus on creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere has helped children adjust smoothly, forming connections with their teachers and each other.
Aistear and Our Learning Philosophy
Our educational approach is grounded in Aistear, Ireland’s National Curriculum Framework for early childhood. According to Aistear, children learn best when they feel safe and secure, supported by loving and nurturing relationships with adults and other children. With this in mind, we have been fostering strong, supportive bonds between children and educators, creating a classroom culture where each child feels valued and connected.
