Autism Assessment for Children

Navigating a predominantly neurotypical world can sometimes be challenging for neurodivergent children. Gaining a deeper understanding of your child’s neurodevelopmental profile can help others appreciate their strengths, celebrate their unique qualities, and identify the support they need to thrive.

Diagnosis Process

Step 1 – Book a Pre-Assessment Consultation
Select a convenient time for your child’s virtual pre-assessment consultation, including evening and weekend options. This flexibility ensures minimal disruption to your family’s routine.

Step 2 – The Autism Assessment
After the initial consultation, schedule your child’s full assessment at a time that works best for you. The assessment will be conducted at our clinic, offering a comfortable and confidential experience for both you and your child.

Step 3 – Post-Assessment Consultation
Once the assessment is complete, you’ll be invited to a follow-up consultation to discuss the results in detail. We’ll guide you through available therapy and support options, and provide initial strategies and resources tailored to your child’s needs.

Step 4 – Ongoing Support
We are here for the long term. Receive continued guidance, resources, and practical strategies to support your child’s development, well-being, and daily life as they grow and evolve.

Our Services

Comprehensive Autism Assessment
Our comprehensive autism assessment involves observing your child, gathering detailed information from multiple sources such as school or daycare, and conducting a parent interview based on the DSM-V criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder. The assessment is conducted by a team that includes a Speech and Language Pathologist and a Clinical Psychologist to ensure a thorough and accurate evaluation.

Individual Therapy
Work with our experienced psychologist to create tailored strategies that foster your child’s development. This may include communication support, sensory regulation techniques, and guidance for managing co-occurring challenges such as anxiety or behavioural difficulties.

Our Team

Our assessment team includes a Clinical Psychologist and a Special Education Needs Psychologist who provide comprehensive evaluations to accurately identify any underlying neurodevelopmental differences your child or adolescent may be experiencing. Our assessments and reports are recognised by governing bodies such as the HSE and utilise gold-standard assessment tools, including the ADI-R, ADOS, and MIGDAS, to help you and your child gain a thorough understanding of their unique developmental profile and abilities.
